I'm Shaketha C. Marion, founder of This Mom Means Business LLC.
I believe learning should do more than fill a classroom—it should build confidence, create connection, encourage curiosity, and prepare people for real life.
As an author, educator, speaker, and advocate, I've created programs that bring together the things I care deeply about: children, families, literacy, safety, education, empowerment, and community.
My goal is simple:
To educate people in ways that inspire them, equip them with practical skills, and empower them to believe in what they're capable of becoming.
Who we serve
Schools, Educators, & Child Care Centers
We partner with schools, child care centers, and educators to bring engaging, hands-on learning experiences directly to children and teens. Our programs include interactive author visits, literacy experiences, life skills, CPR & First Aid, safety education, and, public speaking. Each program is designed to complement learning while building confidence and practical, real-world skills. We make education meaningful, memorable, and fun.
Families
We help families feel more informed, confident, connected, and prepared. Through family CPR & First Aid training, emergency preparedness, safety education, youth programs, and practical resources, we provide skills families can use in everyday life. Our programs encourage important conversations while giving parents and young people tools they can put into action. Because strong families help build strong communities.
Community, Faith-based and Youth Organizations
We partner with churches, nonprofits, youth groups, and community organizations to provide purpose-driven education and training for the people they serve. Programs can include CPR & First Aid, youth life skills, safety and awareness education, literacy experiences, workshops, and motivational speaking. We can tailor programming to fit the needs, ages, and goals of your group. Together, we turn community events into opportunities to educate, empower, and equip.
